The information on this site is derived from the
NSW COVID-19 case locations ('venues of concern') and
NSW COVID-19 cases by location and likely source of infection ('cases') datasets
by Data.NSW
both of which are licensed under CC BY 4.0.
Data is updated within 1 hour of being made available via the Data.NSW APIs, which is typically around 1pm Sydney time for the previous day's 'cases' data and multiple times per day for 'venues of concern' data.
The most recent date's case numbers are up to 8pm on that day, so may increase when updated data is made available by NSW Health. All other date's case numbers are for the full day to midnight.

Venues of concern data: Last updated Feb 10th 2023, 10:40 AEDT. Last checked for new data Mar 30th 2023, 15:50 AEDT.
Covid tests data: Last updated Feb 10th 2023, 10:40 AEDT. Last checked for new data Mar 30th 2023, 15:50 AEDT.
Active case* data: Last updated Mar 30th 2023, 15:22 AEDT. Last checked for new data Mar 30th 2023, 15:22 AEDT.
* Active cases includes all cases diagnosed within the last 14 days, plus any cases which are greater than 14 days but still being treated by NSW Health.
** Based on 2021 population estimates.
*** The actual proportion of people infected is probably higher as some people may not have shown symptoms and therefore not have been tested.
